Translation: This will probably be a cool adventure, with no people and lots of wildlife. Unfortunately it was in the opposite direction I needed to go — but I have filed it away in my head for a future trip.

Parts of the trip were off trail. This drainage wasn’t as difficult as this picture seems to indicate.
