We spent our last vacation day hiking in the Ansel Adams Wilderness. Hiking up to an alpine lake we ran into a few hikers.
Once at the lake, we spent the afternoon sitting on the shore all alone.
We brought our fishing poles, but only made a half-hearted attempt to catch fish.
Most of the afternoon was used to talk and simply enjoy the lake and mountains.
As the typical late afternoon thunder clouds began to form, we headed back. And I was rested; ready to return home. Another excellent vacation.
