An Easter Camping Dinner

We got back yesterday from a 2 month trip. Day 58 of 60 was Easter, so we celebrated with a ham dinner.

Cook it Outdoors!!

We (actually Joyce) cooked this 8 lb. ham on our Weber Baby Q grill. Joyce mixed up some brown sugar, mustard and honey to create a honey-mustard baked ham masterpiece.  Of course cooking outdoors sure beats cooking in a stuffy house!

The ham is ready to bake.

We don’t like to cook inside our camper. Mostly because we are camping, which means our preference is all things outdoors. Plus we aren’t going to stink up the interior, not to mention cooking outside is safer. A nice outdoor stove, like our Camp Chef Ranger Blind Stove is high recommended.

The Weber Q grill can be used for baking or even making pizza

Since you made the dough very thin, it is now perfect.

Eat Indoors

It was cold and breezing most of the day and around dinner time it started to rain. So we opted to eat indoors.
